The Weekend house Buková

In the valley of a local river called Horská Kamenice we have a project of reconstruction of old weekend cottage. The house dates back to the eighties when people built their houses of home-made bricks, outer plasters were made of material called břizolit and most of us drank sunk milk from the bottle at every evening. The new owners have the courage to start a massive reconstruction that will make the house unrecognizable. At the moment they are doing a little cleaning work with the "do not try this at home" classification but a bunch of seasoned professionals will soon be up for a bigger impact. Now we´re trying to uncover the secrets of the structure of the house and reveal what is hidden beneath a layer of planks stained by biting ants and scabs of glass wool.
And because our new clients like wood and fire, they decided to make there a special facade mad of burned wooden boards. The roof facade will be covered with black-black boards and the house will blink only with a few large windows and round panoramic skylights. The interior will change a lot. Our engineer of statics is trying hard to fulfil all our expectations from the interior space. There will be a polished concrete floor and walls lined with plywood inside the house. The living room will be dominated by a cool kitchen for the lady of the house and a new fireplace. From the living room will lead the secret stairs to the bedroom, or the steel ladder into a small hideout for kids and visits. We can´t wait for this project to be done and for the first party there.
