Trip to Rokytnice
Today we got up earlier to catch the sunrise. We start from the hotel and you can smell in the air that summer says deffinetley good bye for this year. Morning mist lazily laying in the Valley, and the colorful tones of maple leaves are filling surrounding valley. We are getting in the car and after a few hiccups egine starts to work. On a road again.
We arrived at the place. Last check - all car doors locked and we can go. A few hundred yards ahead of us after the forestry road and then we're getting on the path leading to the first of the prospects. I'm very curious I have to say. Dawn and the quiet murmur of the forest is few times interrupted only by the creak of branches and then older of my daughters. She got up badly and at the slightest stumble over the root makes her utter angrily. I explain to her that we are in the Woods, and we have to behave quietly. It looks that she understands, however, the whole situation repeats four more times.
We come to the first prospect. If I'm right this one should be the one named Fox. At first couldn't recognise it, but after a while I can see it. It's head is angled into the courtyard of the prospect, on its back you can comfortably. For adventurers there is a wonderful adrenaline challenge to come out after the tail of the over the gap. From here you can see several climbing paths lead to the platform. I took the girls on the other end of the Fox directly above the gap. Both with bated breath hung in the network, that fills the railing. We're looking as first rays of the Sun lit up the horizon. We're waiting for the Sun to rise a bit higher. Meanwhile, on the back of the Fox we shall a breakfast. Prospects are already a couple of years over the Rokytnice, so from the gleaming new wood their surface changed on the darker hues and wonderfully fits into the surrounding nature. After the meal, it is time to go further the path.
To the the next prospect, I started out with only with my younger daughter. Wife and her sister still left to finish the their tea. Bear standing majestically on a rock arouses respect, even if it is made of wood. We climbed the steep staircase on the back foot and looked at stragglers who were still sipping tea on the back of the Fox. Observe and not to be noticed. We wave, if they notice us. We observe the stragglers and Rokytnice from above, and then climb down the stairs. Wait for them the under belly of the Bear. Let's sit down and listen to the drops falling from the trees. Night rain reminds us with a few big drops whenever the trees are wind-hammered. But doesn't bother us under the belly of the bear. We sit and wait. Tea drinkers catcht up with us after a while. Once again we go further.
The trail still runs along the edge of the hill. The benches along the way, places to rest-up. Our next goal is the Sheep. The Sheep is is a prospect, which our girls are looking forward. It is intended for small children. Little sheep is sitting in the Woods, its size is adapted to be a climbing frame. On the information board is a small a game: Find the magic Elf and ring the Sheep's bell again. Finally! Behind one stump we find the Elf and it's chest. We take a wooden wedge and a rope. We put our all into the machine on the neck of sheep and ring the bell. Than little girls swing on a swing and play with a large wooden pulze. Me and my wife drink tea and look after the kids to not to go too much far. There is a lot of blueberries, which color girls lips to purple.
We continue on the path to other resting places with benches, but we don't stop there. There are some stories at informations boards. Some of them are true, some of them are fiction.
The wind was blowin' the remnants of the last remnants of the morning mist and we slowly come to the most attractive prospect. On the rock called by locals K5 is the Miner. The last of beings the Rokytnice's blazon. The blason was the inspiration for these sightseeing statues. After a while persuating that nothing will happen to us, if we are disciplined, we ascend after his the leg over a gap between the rocks. I have to say that this is a really scary experience. We went after the leg on to platform. I sit, watching the colorful Valley of Rokytnice. I climbed on the highest point of the Miner. Then I go back, sit on a bench on the platform to the rest of the expedition and tell girls stories about Krakonoš, who is a guardian of Krkonoše mountain.
On a way back we meet a couple of morning runners, hunter, and a man, looking for his ring, which he lost somewhere here yesterday. We wished him good luck and went toward the car.
