Nightingale Song

Jan Vondrák, 8/22

Our flag tries to capture you. It refuses to be just two seconds of attention in a catalog of fleeting beauty. A digitally generated image of the treetops hides a stereographic image of happiness that cannot be seen with a mere glance. Just as happiness is not a given emotion, its image won't reveal itself easily either. You have to try a little. After all, happiness is not a given.

“Happiness cannot be caught. It flutters around us like a flock of nightingales singing their song of joy. Try to stop for just a moment, look up into the treetops, and listen. Perhaps happiness will smile upon you.”
