House for Markétka
Fear of beauty. Sometimes it’s enough to just watch, looking quietly at the things around us. Calmly, without the pressure to comment or evaluate. You can't keep saying, "this is similar to that or that over there." Not everything has to resemble something else. Sometimes it’s good to just keep quiet and look. To stop thinking for a moment and simply feel, touch, listen. There’s no need to say anything; it’s enough to just become part of it for a second. Maybe then, things will start to make sense.

Beauty doesn't need to be named; it isn't rational, it's enough to just experience it. I don't have to justify why something gives me chills just by looking at it. It can simply be a feeling. The night sky is breathtaking, and I have no idea what’s actually happening up there. And the sea smells so beautifully salty… Saying that something is beautiful, even if you don't know why, is completely okay. The fact that we like something seemingly unfamiliar might just mean we actually know it very well.
House for Markétka has been standing for a few months now. It evokes feelings. Visitors struggle to grasp the generous space inside. They don't understand why, instead of a nine-meter-high living room, there aren't extra rooms, or why there are so many stairs. It’s hard to explain—that feeling simply isn't transferable. It is beauty.
